I can't reproduce this bug (Inkscape_0.48.0-1ubuntu1 on Maverick). I have been through the entire screencast.

@joris - Do you still experience this bug in Inkscape 0.48? If so, please could you confirm that these are the exact steps to reproduce the bug:

* Import a JPEG image
* Convert the image to a pattern (Object->Pattern->Objects to Pattern)
* Convert to path (Path->Object to Path)
* Drag one of the nodes inward
>> Inkscape crashes

@Alex - you 'steps to reproduce' match bug #463602 “crash when node-editing pattern-filled object” which was fixed in the new node tool of Inkscape 0.48.

OK, that's great. I'll mark this as a duplicate.

@joris - Please feel free to revert the duplicate status if different steps to those in comment #6 are required to reproduce the bug.
