Could you be more specific about which PDF export options you miss most in Inkscape? Half of those listed in the screenshots seem proprietary Adobe features...

The Press Quality option but the PDF /X options are for most people important I think.

Currently all fonts are embedded, there are no (external) links, there is no java script.
And this makes it /A compatible (for archiving)
missing for /X is the support/export for managed colours CMYK, eRGB etc

some of the other option have no use in inkscape, Inkscape produces only one single page so the options for linearisation does not matter.

What could be good is to have some preset options for some use cases so the user must not tick text as path, filter to bitmap or dpi for bitmaps always.

If you could make a list of options that belongs to the presets and what their values are would be perfect.

Scribus (http://www.scribus.net/) has a nice open source implementation of these features. The killer features that Scribus has which are lacking in Inkscape are: (1) Deciding which fonts to include, (2) ability to resize linked graphics to a desired DPI and compression method, and (3) Set desired output color format Screen/Web, Print or Grayscale. (See attachment)

In my workflow, I create a SVG file using inkscape and then open it in Scribus to export a PDF.

Here is a link to the Scribus PDF export documentation:
