Bug Description

Inkscape is drawing Start and End markers on each sub-path of a path. This appears to be wrong reading the SVG spec. Both Batik and Firefox 3.5 draw the Start and End markers once on path. A test SVG file is attached.

Confirmed with Inkscape r22115 on OS X 10.5.8,
not confirmed with Inkscape 0.46-2

What about mid markers? Should they be shown on the subpaths?

Here a patch that fixes the problem.
I still would like to know how mid markers should show. Please add a test file to a new bug report (and to the testsuite if possible) if you know how it should be. Thanks.

Patch tested and fix confirmed with Inkscape 0.46+devel r22521+patch on OS X 10.5.8

As per Johan's request, a new bug report (456148) has been opened to cover mid-markers at ends of sub-paths. A new test SVG file was added there. The test file should replace the one submitted here (it covers both cases as well as being cleaned up a bit).
