keyboard shortcuts missing in Toolbox tooltips

What's exactly missing? I just tried on 0.47-pre1 too and the status bar information (if that's what you mean...) is correct and the same as in 0.46. You'll have to detail your report a bit more.

Ok, I understand now. What's missing is the hot key reference in the tooltip. If I remmeber correctly there was already another bug for this...

I can't find the "other" report...
The keys showed in the tooltips with 0.46, and I don't remember why they have been removed in 0.47.

but I have never found an explanation if the removal was
a) due to changes in the GTK framework
b) intentional when refactoring some toolbox code
c) "collateral damage"

No longer reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r9745 (en) on OS X 10.5.8.
Can this be confirmed on other platforms / languages?

What about applying the patch to the 0.48.x branch so that it works with 0.48.1?

Hard-coded short-cuts without verbs (within tool context?) for commands on the tool controls bar are not, those with verbs (global or tool context) however are displayed in the tool-tip.

-> Tool-tips are inconsistent in current trunk because only some commands on the controls bar show the shortcut (e.g. in the node tool: Convert [stroke] to path, edit next path effect parameter).
