I am attaching a screenshot from current 0.46devel build (almost 0.47), built by Inkscape on May 29 2009
Selecting a new document in the File menu presents a long list of menu entries (new document presets), that cannot be localized, but in the same time, they do not seem proper English names either (with all those uderscores and without capital letters). I am using my own Slovenian po file that is currently fully localized, so definitely these strings cannot be localized.
This does seem like a stopper for 0.47 for me. Or is there a way to localize these strings in some other file?

Confirmed, but not new (and probably to late to be added in 0.47).
The names refer to the files stored in share/templates.
The list should at least be ordered.
