fill artifacts on color managed display

Bug Description

Just compiled SVN Rev. 19089.
When I activate color management every solid fills show visual artifacts on canvas. The artifacts are repetitive patterns over the filled areas and they change when different settings are selected in the preferences.
Only de-activating the on-screen output simulation makes the artifacts disappear. With color management switched off the display is normal.

Ubuntu Hardy Heron. 64bit.
nVidia video (closed source driver) - Compiz-Fusion activated/de-activated (same behavior).

I get those artifacts with and without CMS. They're produced by the current refactoring and maybe are related to the progressive conversion to cairo.

I guess the problem started in some point of late may / june. I have a compilation from may 19th and color management works fine.
I can't track precisely the exact revision that introduced this bug since I didn't compile inkscape until a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure if my prior comment was wrong or indeed it was broken on both cases, but right now without CMS works. r19422.
