Bug Description

Basically the idea is to have an icon at the bottom-right of a selected
item. This would show the item type.

Eg in the attached file there is a stack of a path, rectangle and
clone-rectangle on top of each other. Now try selecting the one you want.
With the icon system icons would stack and might, for example, show all
selected items.

Better may be to have an <modifier-key>-leftclick to show the dialog which
then would include all items occupying the space below the cursor at the
time of the click. Then you'd select from the "list" the item you wish
which would deselect the other items (you could perhaps have ctrl- and
shift-clicking on these icons).

I think this would be best as a display of the item type. The icon could
also be used to drag (move) items and maybe to rightclick for a menu of
conversions (eg, convert to path, clone, duplicate). It may even have
additional information displayed alongside (optional) such as the opacity.

Just an idea. I think I must have come across this sort of thing somewhere
else but am not sure as my memory isn't very good.
