Bug Description
Wondering if anyone is working on a tab view for separate inkscape
drawings.
This doesn't have to be fancy; just a way to quickly select among various
svg files opened, export all as bitmaps, and present all slides.
I know there is a hotkey to go back/forward but if you have 20 different
files open this doesn't really work too well.
An example of what I had in mind is NoteTab. You can open multiple files
and each file has it's own tab. You can quickly select which one to
view/edit.
Also, when you close NoteTab and then return, all the files that were open
in the previous session are opened in the NoteTab window. This is nice too
because if I have a large presentation and one file gets corrupted, the
rest are okay.
If these separate svg files could then be exported (Export All) with their
filenames (or optionally a sequence number based on window order,
alphabetical order, ...) then we are getting very close to a presentation
tool.
Finally, it would be nice if the exported graphics could then be displayed
in inkview (View Slideshow).
I want to use Inkscape as a screen design and presentation tool but it is
currently too cumbersome working with separate files.
Perhaps this is all possible with a simple script command and a right-click
option that shows all opened svg files. I will try some things myself and
let you know what I come up with.

Well tabbed browsing is a dupe of either bug 170257 or bug 171330, take your pic : ), but you seem to be suggesting additional features to be implemented after tabbed browsing is developed, so I won't mark this as a duplicate. It may have to wait a while, though...
