Bug Description
Hello,
Just did a great work with Inkscape to generate some nice graphics for a
website.
As the original Files came from CorelDraw, I had to export them and clean
up the mess Corel created in the XML-File. At least some of the most tricky
figures needn't to be reconstructed.
After finishing the work, I had to do an export to PNG to support some lame
browsers, that do not understand SVG or do not have the plugin installed or
enabled.
As I had some embedded xlinks in the graphic, I had to reconstruct the
clickable Areas using a Map in HTML.
As this is a quite anoying Task I thought about making things easier: The
coordinates of the shapes need to be in the XML-File somehow.
It first I was shocked: How could it be, that there are negative values in
the XML, although my graphics were located all inside the Page in
Inkscape.
I took a while till I found out that Corel had set a viewport to some
strange values ... This made it impossible to extract the values from the
XML with few efforts, and as a matter of time, I created the HTML-Map by
hand once again.
It would be nice to have an Option in Inkscape to reset the viewport to
0 0 widht height
To make a graphic more accessable. This would also help in order to add an
animation to SVG lateron, as for this case, you need absolute coordinates
...
