Preserve node selection when switching to another tool &back

Bug Description
When having nodes selected using the Edit Path tool, and switching away to
use another tool, switching back to the Edit Path tool should still have
the previously edited tools selected. Losing the selected nodes because of
some other editing would of course lose the selection as well.

Not sure if it's feasible to implement, but certainly a good idea.
