Bug Description
Although possible the mesh gradient be completely different of a path, I think that the default must be that the mesh be linked with the path. Any edition in the path, automatically edit the mesh. Only advanced users 'unlinks' the path and mesh.

Assuming the creatives would use the gradient mesh to create starting from an more or less irregular closed path or by using the current technique and creating a squared or circular shape, the option of generating a mesh by using its path nodes parameters is a necessary one.
I'd add an option in gradient mesh tool for this, at least.
I would like to select the mesh corners for a squared-shaped mesh of the center for the circular-shaped mesh. I would like to be able to snap to path nodes when selecting the mesh corners for the squared-shaped mesh, in order to choose right from these nodes.
