Bug Description

open a *.vsd-file or import to workspace ends whit message-popup

"Laden der gewünschten Datei E:\dateiname.vsd fehlgeschlagen. " / Error reading file

- Inkscape-Version 0.92
- Microsoft-Vision- *.vsd files from 2008, especially from Visio 2007.

File opens fine in release versions of Inkscape 0.92.0 (both 32-bit and 64-bit builds) on Windows 10 x64.

Did you by any chance rename the example file? There's a known issue with filenames containing special characters, see bug #1416949.

good evening,

the file name don't contains any special character.
But the path contain already a "&" in the folder "house&co" an then
there already a german street-name "Straße"
I copy the file to desktop and everthing runs
