Bug Description
Inkscape 0.91 on Win7 64bit.
When I create a duplicate window, I can enable/disable grid visibility independently in either windows (original or duplicated). This makes a lot to sense, as one of the reasons to have duplicated window is that of having a "working" view on one, and a final view on the other.
However, guides visibility is common to the two windows: if you toggle it in one of the two, the other follows.
If that's not a bug but a feature, I am then proposing to make it independent (same as grid visibility) to give the user maximum flexibility.
Thanks

Support for grid status per view (duplicate window) was implemented along with the refactored grids in Inkscape 0.46: wiki.inkscape. org/wiki/ index.php/ ReleaseNotes046 #Grids

I could not find related comments wrt guides from around that time (bug tracker, mailing list), so it looks like this is an enhancement for guides still waiting to be implemented (the later GSoC project in 2012 "Usibility Improvements for Guides" [1] did not implement it either - at least not in its current state (r11592)).
