Bug Description
PDFs can embed fonts. Inkscape can only render text and export to PDF with fonts which are installed on the system. Therefore, if one wants to import and re-export PDFs with embedded fonts, they have to install those fonts on their system.
However, this does not seem to work. For example, I import a PDF and the text portions of it in Inkscape refer (as by the font-selector of the text tool) to font names such as "CMR 10" and "TeX". These fonts are not embedded in the PDF and the reference must thus have been misinterpreted by Inkscape's PDF import.
This is inkscape 0.91 from source (vanilla) on Gentoo.

Attached a file, originally a PDF passed through Ghostscript to extract a page with formulae. The embedded fonts are called "fmt....pfb".
