Profesor, we will need the svg file where you're experiencing the error in order to test the bug. As well as more details explaining the steps you took that lead to the error.

printing speed problem not reproduced on Windows XP, Inkscape 0.48.4, the image prints at a normal speed.
however there are a number of questions:
- the image appears to be much larger than an A4 page size. In my case I got only a very small fraction of the complete image on my printer. Can you indicate what the original image size is and what the size of your printer page is?
- the image apparently came from a pdf file originally, can you attach the original pdf file?

Sorry my English is not very well.

When I've tried to add new text or edit existing text by use F8 I see that cursor moving very slow.
