I cannot highlight text in any note

Bug Description

I never notice this issue before but when I try to highlight some text from a note, there's no color showing the text highlighted even though I can paste the text when I try to copy.

Thanks for your report. Could you share what version of Ubuntu you're using (or, if you're not using Ubuntu, what distribution/version), the version of indicator-stickynotes, and a screenshot, if possible?

Yes, sure. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and indicator-stickynotes' is 1.0.0. I cannot show the issue in a screenshot 'cause it doesn't appear. sorry.

Can confirm. I am also having this issue on:

* Indicator Stickynotes `1.0.0`
* Ubuntu `16.04 LTS`

I do want to add, that this issue as only come up the past ~2 weeks (April, 2019). Before that it has been running smoothly for over a year.
