Quit working in Mint 17 64 bit after update

doesn't show in taskbar, but does seem to run ok in terminal window.

You can still run it with alt+f2 and type Indicator-cpufreq, I've also made a bug report about it with more details

It does not start for me either, after login to Cinnamon, Mint 17. I t starts when I type indicator-cpufreq in terminal.

ok, If I upgrade to a kernel newer than 3.13 it will still run in Linux Mint 17 64bit but all of the various cpu speeds and the turbo option are gone. I can only see the various states like ondemand, conservative, and performance. What is new in later kernels that no longer allows cpufreq to select a cpu speed?
