Additional menu item separators added after switching between menus in vlc player

Bug Description
steps to reproduce:
1. open vlc player
2. click (or open with keyboard) menu "Playback"
3. click somewhere to close menu dropdown
4. repeat steps 2,3 several times
5. see extra separators at the end of menu dropdown (attached image)

confirmed but not really sure if its appmenu-gtk or libdbusmenu issue. currently keeping in the center i.e. indicator-appmenu
