Bug Description
Once again, I accidentally opened Rhythmbox and it started importing a lot of something—I don't know what.
Since I prefer to have control over what parts of my computer Rhythmbox uses, I opened 'Rhythmbox Preferences' ▸ 'Music' with the intention of dissuading it from rampaging through whatever location it has defaulted to. Frustratingly, all Rhythmbox chooses to reveal to me about its automated behavior is:
Music files are placed in: Multiple locations set
When I click 'Browse' and open a location of my preference (~/sandbox), nothing changes. Rhythmbox still displays:
Music files are placed in: Multiple locations set
Even as I write this its progress bar is bouncing away, doing... something. I have no idea what it's doing.

Also using 2.96-0ubuntu4.1 under Ubuntu 12.04.
The behaviour described by Andrew is also described by 'miper' at https:/ /bbs.archlinux. org/viewtopic. php?id= 126492
Using dconf-editor and setting org.gnome. rhythmbox. rhythmdb/ locations to a single location (e.g. ['file: ///home/ serah/Music' ]) doesn't alter Rhythmbox's reporting "Multiple locations set" in Rhythmbox's Preferences dialog.
