Bug Description
This is in reference to HPLIP question no. 70860:
When the hp device manager/toolbox (rev 3.9.4) runs, no device actions are displayed. After reverting to 2.8.10, all installed HP devices are correctly shown, and their device actions (scan, print, etc.) are shown in the actions pane. The platform is Ubuntu 8.10/x86/64bit. This bug is a showstopper and renders the toolbox non-functional.

I don't have any solution for this--however I can reproduce this and we are researching the cause.
