Bug Description

Using Ubuntu updated to 22.10 today, was on 20.04.
The printer is ENVY 6430e Pro and works OK with windows.
Have loaded hplip 3.22.10 several times using different options.
All to no avail. At first it might print and next day will not.
When using settings/printers it recognises the printer and displays ENVY 6400 series and report "Ready"

When selecting a file to print it displays at top of screen printing and then later will display "Printing Complete" but this
is only displayed sometimes. At different times it has printed a page but mostly not. Sometimes it does print but try a few minutes later it does nothing, Mostly it fails to print.
I did manage to get it to scan using Xscan a few times.
On one occasion it did detect that it was out of paper.
Sometimes comments "Driver for this printer unavailable."
On a suggestion I tried the ipp-usb method and I entered into the printer details Driverless. It never worked with ipp-usb.
I have never been able to find the PPD file that is requested to be loaded.
My belief is that there is a bug in the sensing of the printer status.
I come to this after working on computer maintenance for sixty five years. LEO. English Electric, Australian Computers, ICT, ICL all good fun !

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies
d. [All are run-time checks]
