Scan fail with lineart

Trying to scan in lineart mode with scanimage fail with formats jpeg and png.

For jpeg I have the following error : "Application transferred too few scanlines".
For png I have : "libpng error: No IDATs written into file".
With pnm it works, however with xsane it doesn't display all the scanned image (only less than half) with the 3 formats.

I tried with hp-scan and I have the following error : "Did not read enough data from scanner (I/O Error?)".
