Bug Description
This is not an actual bug but more an annoyance
and I ask for an enhancement to avoid it.
hp-* programs should not enforce that the user has a GUI
when a GUI is not really mandatory for the program.
Example:
I am logged in from remote via ssh
-------
# hp-diagnose_plugin
HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.13.4)
...
warning: No display found.
error: hp-diagnose_plugin requires GUI support . Is Qt4 installed?
-------
When I run hp-diagnose_plugin when logged in
on the machine having X running, it outputs only
plain text so that from my point of view
it seems a GUI is not mandatory for it.
For example hp-setup has the "-i" option to run without GUI.
But that option is not shown by "hp-diagnose_plugin -h"
and it really does not work for hp-diagnose_plugin:
-------
# hp-diagnose_plugin
HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.13.4)
...
error: Only Qt4 GUI mode is supported
-------
Please check all hp-* programs whether or not they
actually need a GUI to run and if not please provide
the "-i" option to run them optionally without GUI.
