Notification bubbles for mentions appear either very late or not at all

Bug Description
I have Gwibber set to only display notification bubbles for Mentions and Replies only. Unfortunately when Gwibbers pulls in a new mention or reply it does not display a notification bubble as expected and very occasionally will show a bubble for a reply from an hour or so ago.

I can not reproduce this. Can you please run gwibber-service in debug mode for a while then send me you gwibber log?
killall -9 gwibber-service && gwibber-service -d
After you get some new replies or mentions, send me ~/.cache/
