Bug Description

NTSC DVD's are not displayed at the correct resolution. NTSC is 720x480, which at par 8:9 (dar 4:3) should give 720x540 but it gives 640x480 instead. PAL DVD's do not have this problem, but some PAL ripped titles that have been converted to say mp4 and cropped across the width, have the same problem. Both totem gstreamer and kaffeine gstreamer have the same problem. Totem xine and mplayer display all videos at the correct resolution.

This doesn't have anything to do with the opencv plugins for GStreamer, they're purely related to computer vision and have nothing to do with DVD playback. Did you perhaps intend to file this against one of the main GStreamer packages?

In that case, could you put this against the correct package please. This is the package that came up after searching.

I've changed the project it's filed against, but you might have more luck if you report it in the official gstreamer bug tracker instead of on launchpad: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer

affects: gst-opencv → gstreamer
