Grub2 does not install on other partition e.g. sda5, when doing dual boot system with win 7/8. If so specified during installation using 'Something else' option, the installation hangs.

Bug Description
In order to boot using chainloading Grub2 from Windows boot loader, I attempted to install Grub2 to sda5 using the 'Something Else' option during installation of Ubunu Mate 15.04 with win 8.1 in a dual boot. However the installation hangs.
Installation completed perfectly when Grub2 was installed to sda. However, the main boot screen is now through Grub2.
