database migration from from version 0.9 to version 0.10 fails

Bug Description
It's a problem with data migration.
I use MySQL as backend database. I have started with griffith in version 0.9. With this version I have inserted some records in the system. Than I have changed the version to 0.10. After the upgrading the character encoding is corrupt (all characters not contained in standard ACSII are diplayed corrupt). Further the posters / images of a movie are no longer displayed.
The only way to correct was to delete the record and insert new ...
