Gnome Mouse pref 'CTRL = show position of pointer' interferes with Gnome-Do Summon

Bug Description
I have Gnome-Do summon key sequence set to Ctrl-Space. If i turn on show-mouse-pointer, Gnome-do only shows up about 40% of the time when I press the summon key sequence.
Here I speculate: It could be that the show-pointer subsystem consumes the control-down event. Or it could be some timing problem.
