Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

battery applet does not show the correct level of charge. It stops at 81% and does change after this although I was using the laptop with battery. LAptop: Sattelite pro

using hardy distribution

I'm getting the same kind of crash on 8.04 @ ASUS A6km laptop.

After unplugging AC, even though a popup informs me that AC power has been unplugged, the battery status applet keeps displaying AC power.

After a little while, it crashes...
