Firefox - Multiple Home Pages can be duplicated if they are currently open in other tabs

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

If I have two tabs open,ie; gmail & reader. When I return to HOME, it opens two more tabs ie.gmail &reader.
This only happens with Ubuntu 9.04. It does not happen on Win XP

It happened before I did the 3.0.11 update. I was hoping that the update would fix it.

When clicking on the Home icon, it turns the current tab into the first page of the home pages and then opens the rest regardless of what else is open.

This is probably wontfix per bug 195212 comment 70 by Mike Connor, but I'm keeping it open to attract duplicates. See also bug 330239.

Right.

Trying to be clever about replacing is doomed to failure and strange behaviour,
and reusing the pref is weird. Having another hidden pref to always replace as
with bookmarks could be done as a followup.

I'm having the same issue. I only have one "home" page set but clicking on the "home" icon duplicates the existing tabs.
