ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver fails

the issue has nothing to do with the menus...

http://wiki.x.org says : "If you appear to use the correct driver and you still keep getting this message it is very likely that your chipset isn't supported (yet). In this case you may try the vesa driver or - if this doesn't work - the vga driver."
I have a ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY and had to switch to use the vesa driver to get all things right.
If I use the fglrx driver I get this from the Xorg.0.log:

Hi Phil!

What is your graphic card?
For my graphic card I use now the radeon driver. But when I open the gnome-system-monitor it tells me that something is wrong. 'Cause of this message I got in the terminal:

(gnome-system-monitor:2291): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE

Does anybody know what it means? I only see stripes in that window.

And, Phil, you can do this:
If you have gstreamer packages installed you can open (with a terminal) "gstreamer-properties" to adjust some things for audio and video playback. It helped me. Now I can watch movies again even in fullscreen.

Hi all, I'd suggest closing this bug as we've got new FGLRX drivers and berni doesn't have this hardware anymore -- Micro2Gb do you still have issues ?
