Please note that the same issue was reported for 3.16.8 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1618851/) and 3.16.9 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1630028), so I repeat my plea that you make this part of your release process, otherwise you're breaking printing for everyone who is forced to use hplip-plugin after each new release.
