Similar to user activity tracking, it would be helpful in some cases to know what's happening via the SIP server, especially those actions that don't produce any tracking/
The initial use case was for tracking the flow of copies through the system. In particular, knowing when an Item Information request was made for a copy by our sorter. Item Info requests do not leave any trace in the EG database, since it's a read-only lookup. You can only find them in the logs.
I could see having a general purpose list, essentially, of all SIP calls stored in the database as being potentially useful beyond just the Item Info request, though.
Thoughts appreciated.
