3.8 - copying Christine's comment #11 from bug 1956619:

The old holdings editor still appears when adding a new record.

Click Cataloguing -> Create New MARC Record -> Add Item -> Save = old editor

Confirmed that the Create MARC Record still takes users to the old angularjs Holdings Editor in 3.11.1

I know this bug hasn't got a lot of heat currently but I'd like to advocate for at least a medium importance.

I think it's confusing to users to have the old holdings editor appear in this one spot, especially since it has different functionality from the new angular holdings editor. The Defaults/Preferences have different options between the two editors, and the item attributes are in a different order, and the way you apply attributes is different.

(It also makes documenting and training on the holdings editor more complicated.)

Noting that Equinox is working on bug 2006969 and when that is merged it will replace the MARC editor in all its incarnations, including "new record". We're wrapping up development now but I don't think testing will be complete in time for 3.12, though, so we'll likely pitch it for the spring release.
