There is currently no warning when a course is deleted making it very easy to accidentally delete a course and everything associated with it.

Just noting that if there is a user (e.g. instructor) associated with a course, deletion of the course fails with a message indicating this. I am not sure why the association of a user with a course prevents deletion of the course, but the association of items with the course does not.
