Adding a link to bug 1441772, which was recently set to "Won't Fix" due to the lack of this action being available in this web client interface. If we add the action to the Group Member details page, we should ensure that we also address of this issue, which appeared to primarily be a UI issue.

Anybody know what rationale there was behind not adding that action to the web client interface?

As an alternative, the action could be added to the user buckets interface. However, it should be somewhere other than patron search results because we often have to merge accounts that don't show up together in results due to name changes.

I was just about to open a wishlist bug for adding the action to user buckets, so +1 for that. Also +1 for adding the action to the Group interface.

+1 for adding to the user buckets and Group interface, as well. It's a feature used by our libraries.

We just upgraded to 3.0.9 and are still unable to merge patron records in the web client. We would like for it to be an option in Group Member Details. We usually don't need to merge more than one account at a time so buckets just complicate the process.
