We would like to provide a MARC upload form with the administratively determined appropriate settings for the uploads. For instance we would determine the appropriate settings for Record Match Set, Merge Profile,Import Non-Matching Records, Record Source, Merge On Exact Match (901c), Merge On Single, Match Merge On Best Match, Best/Single Match Minimum Quality Ratio, New Record Quality / Quality of Best Match, and Insufficient Quality Fall-Through Profile.
Persons with the proper permissions would be able to change these settings, those without would see a screen already set and with greyed-out, settings.
We envision separate settings for cataloging and acquisitions.
These settings would compliment a fix for the form that would include required fields that the user would be reminded to complete.

As of 3.6.1, all fields on the Load MARC Order Records page can now be set through the library settings editor. The only fields still missing a setting are Record Source, Context Org Unit, and Fiscal Year.
I would definitely support having Record Source as a library setting, but don't have strong feelings about the other two.
