Marc Batch-Edit Bug (Wishlist?)

Bug Description
Working with our libraries in the current staff client and using the Marc Batch Edit function, there's currently no method of inserting subfields in a Marc tag. Everything seems to get appended to the end of the field instead. Perhaps some fancy regular expressions might solve this, but after a while of working on this, I could come up with no method of doing so.
Perhaps given the continued growth of the web-based client, this should be moved to a wishlist for that, but wanted to at least document this so as it shows up. What might work is an approach taken by the external free MarcEdit(http://

Can be seen by simply trying a sample Marc Batch Edit from within the staff client.
