Bug Description
Sounds like the best practice for improving I/O on a single NC node is to point INSTANCE_PATH at a RAID array. This is fine, except when you have a machine that isn't RAID-enabled, yet has several disks. If INSTANCE_PATH was a comma-delimited list, then an administer could configure it to point to several mounted disks, such that euca did some sort of round-robin scheduling of these disks to improve I/O performance.
