Bug Description
Binary package hint: eog
I consider this a bug or lack of an feature.
The problem is that Eye of GNOME 2.14.3 (i have this version but it applies on other versions also) has this feature named "Image Collection" (View->Image Colection or press F9).
This feature by default is not selected in ubuntu and i think that is normal, I don't use it.
But the problem is that even if I do not use this feature, every time I want to see an image
by double click on it in nautilus, i have to wait until this features scans all folder for images and does whaterver, and only after that i can see the opened image.
I sugest you go to nautilus, in a folder that has more than 200 photos (example: ~/.gnome2/
This is a great problem when I want to see some photos in a folder and i always do double click then close.
This delay should created from Image Collection feature should happen only when I activate it.
Pleas don't tell me to use other programs or use the Image Collection feature without the need of nautilus or use gThumb or whatever because I hope you can realize that it is ridiculous to wait like 5seconds with cpu on full load to open an 12.4kb (172x72) png image in a folder like that.
Thanks for your bug report. I just tried it with Feisty and confirmed with ~/.thumbnails/ normal
Somebody of the taem should forward it upstream.
