Bug Description

Easy Peasy uses approx. 2-3 watts more power than Ubuntu does at this time.
This is pretty critical, and I hope you will look into it.
This affects EP1.5rc. I use a EEE 1000H.

Wakeups-from-idle per second : 145.9 interval: 10.0s
Power usage (ACPI estimate): 13.3W (3.7 hours) (long term: 16.4W,/3.0h)

I see that you are running firefox while you measure the power consumption. To have a good comparison it is not recommended to run such apps while running powertop. AFAIK firefox wakes up the CPU very often, which causes a much higher power consumption. Also the version of programs can make a big difference. So please to have a fair comparison please repeat running powertop while not running any apps like firefox or office, etc.

Suggestion: increase the VM dirty writeback time from 5.00 to 15 seconds with:
  echo 1500 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
This wakes the disk up less frequently for background VM activity
