Develop method to persist local data in the target backup dir

We need to develop a reliable method to persist local database information in the target backup directory in case the local database disappear or is no longer usable. For each destination directory we should persist the related task info (such as the Task, the Watched Files, the Job data, etc).
This "method" (could be a file) will be updated every time we work on the destination directory and in case of need it should be trivial to bring it back and use it to update out local database with the information it provides.
