Bug Description
I ran onto this on openSuse 11.1
jdaly@rx7:~> uname -a
Linux rx7 2.6.27.7-9-default #1 SMP 2008-12-04 18:10:04 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
running ./configure works fine
but running ./configure --prefix=<some path> produces the error below
checking for libboost_
configure: error: boost::

Joe, is this still a problem for you, looks like you needed the boost program options package
