Bug Description
Another new future wish list item:
One function that the DL application is missing is an in-built search.
This should allow users to search for documents that contain a keyword in the metadata (encapsulating title, date, description, author, etc. in the one search).
However, we have to be careful that the search doesn't put a huge strain on the resources on the application's host server so we need to keep this search fairly simple - we don't want to cripple the server if lots of users are performing searches in the application at the same time.
The results would be a list of documents displayed in the usual DL way, with the search criteria displayed somewhere on the search results page and the number of successful matches also displayed somewhere (presumably as part of the document 'batches' controls used in the DL application).
The results would have to be restricted to those documents that the user is allowed access to; so a submitter would only be allowed to see search results relating to documents written by them, whilst a Librarian could search through documents that are stored in those categories they are in charge of. Managers would be able to search the entire system.
