Bug Description
Version bzr docky r1716 ppa
Ubuntu Maverick
When the timezone is changed
(To change timezone I use the Locations interface that pops up from the clock in the gnome-panel)
Docky does not update its time display until restart.
On a side note, it is kind of ridiculous to need Clocky and gnome-panel clock.
Could docky open the "Locations" interface?

Depending how you change your time, you can actually crash Docky. I think that's an open bug.... and it is probably the same as this. Basically our drawing code stores timestamps to sync the animations and know when to refresh. Changing time royally breaks that. Not much we can do.
As for your side note, feel free to file a wishlist bug, but I probably would mark it WontFix. Docky aims for simplicity, and let's be quite honest - how often do you *really* change timezones? Maybe you go on a trip, so you change it twice (at the start and end) in a week or so. NOT worth adding UI. You can change tz stuff from the system -> admin -> time and date dialog.
