Further investigation shows that gnome-do starts fine with gnome-do-plugins removed, and other users do not have this problem. So apparently my plugins are corrupt. I completely removed the files under ~/.gconf/apps/gnome-do; what else do I need to do to get this to work? I don't see any other settings files relevant to the issue.

Ok, so after painstakingly testing plugins by removing the dll's, I found the corrupt settings in the YoutTube plugin were the issue. I realize that needs to be reported elsewhere, BUT, where are plugin settings stored, such as whether a plugin is active or not? I noticed for each plugin I had login credentials for, the password was (correctly) remembered, but the username is not. I assume this is because only the password is stored in gnome-keyring (I can see them there). Clearing the password for the YouTube plugin does NOT keep the YouTube plugin from crashing gnome-do, though. It seems to be still selected.

So this seems to be a new bug: gnome-do does not clear plugin settings on complete removal

Oh, I guess plugin bugs are reported here? I thought they were to be reported elsewhere... changing the description of the bug.

The workaround appears to be to remove the YouTube.dll, remove the stored password from gnome-keyring, replace the .dll, start it, then start it again (it crashed the first time). I have all plugins working now. This needs to be fixed. In my opinion, what plugins are selected should be set where the other gnome-do settings are stored; why aren't they?
