Bug Description:
Mpt to design a new interface for asset collation from developers for the production of banners.
The interface is to be added to the Images page of adding an app.
From our conversation this should include and svg logo graphic and a suitably scaled screenshot of the application.
Steps To Reproduce:
1. goto myapps.developer.ubuntu.com
2. Currently there is no way to add images for use in banner on the 3rd page where you add images
Expected Result:
This solution mean that the images will always be associated with the apps rather than in the designers email, it will mean that the designer can use the comment only solution to ping the developers and request images if they are not added and add a level of fluidity and professional polish to this process |
Steps To Reproduce:
1. goto myapps.developer.ubuntu.com
2. Submit an application.
Currently there is no systematic way for an application developer to submit artwork we can use to promote their application. So when we assemble banners for the USC home screen, for example, we first have to e-mail the application developer to ask them for materials.
This could be solved by adding a small section to the bottom of the "Showing your app" page:
------------
= Promotion =
From time to time, Canonical selects applications to promote specially in Ubuntu Software Center. To give your app a better chance of being chosen, upload a zip archive containing any artwork we could use when promoting it.
( Choose File… )
Include, if you have them:
• a vector or high-resolution logo or logotype, and any guidelines on how to use it
• screenshots or background artwork.
------------
[Thanks to Emily Maher for helping to design this.] |
