Bug Description
It looks like the following is our support matrix for the time being:
12.04 - 13.04:
* free + open source apps: not supported
* Commercial apps (not gratis) and propietary + gratis: /apps/ (old MyApps process)
13.10 and onwards:
* free + open source apps: /click-apps/
* Commercial apps (not gratis) and propietary + gratis: not supported yet (currently scheduled for 13.10 release)
I don't know how to beset present this to the user, but it'd be good if we'd offer both choices in the UI somehow.

Correction:
12.04 → 14.04 as click isn't supported on unity 7, and then we'll need to support those apps till 14.04 dies in 5 years time.
Then we need a way to transition that from deb to click for 14.10 that'll be fun....
Then from 13.10 onwards there will be click available for apps of a mobile nature initially then in 14.10 we can transition in the desktop apps.
That is at least my understanding of the situation.
