Bug Description
I have a new Dell XPS 13 developer edition. I'm using the Thunderbolt port to connect to a HDMI/VGA/
Usually it works fine. However, when I connect an ethernet cord to the adapter, Ubuntu freezes. If I reboot, it works fine.
I'm running the factory installation of Ubuntu 14.04, with xubuntu-desktop.

The issue also occurs when I daisy-chain a different USB ethernet adapter off of the USB port on the hub. It does not occur if I connect a different USB ethernet adapter directly to one of the two USB ports on the laptop.
