X freezes in Dell Mini 12" Belmont

Bug Description
During browsing with firefox (in the background ktorrent, totem with webradio and pidgin was running) no flash movie on the window.
The screen freezed suddenly. Only mouse cursor was working with touchpad, no reaction when pressing keys or mouse buttons even nothing if ctrl+alt+bckspc was pressed.
I pressed the power button to turn off.
2 hours ago i had a similar freeze without working mouse cursor. Since then i switched off visualization in totem during the webradio to decrease CPU usage.
In the last 3 months i had similar freezes and i don't know the reason of them. They came sporadically however i suspect there is something wrong in the deep. I would do investigations to find the cause. How to discover these freezes?
